David Brockington, Sr., of

Morrisville, S.C., celebrated his
' 101st birthday on Christmas
Day with a party in his honor at
•

the Louis G. Gregory Baha'i
Institute near Heiningway.

He ·and his wife, Minnie, live
in their own home
in
Morrisville, three miles from
the log house nf his birth in
Camel's Swamp. Mr. and Mrs .
Brockington figure they have
been married ''about 70 years.''

A highlight of the evening was

a telegra1n of oongratulations Jr., nine grandchildren and a
fonn President Gerald Ford to number of great-grandchildren.
Mr. Brockington. The telegram
