proclamation Wednesday night,
November 6, making the week
. of November 24-30 Family
Week in the City of
Johnsonville.
. Mayor Co~ signed the
following proclamation at the
request of the Pee Dee Junior
Women's Club, which is
promoting the week as a club
activity:
''Whereas
the
family
relationship is the basic unit of
society and is the basic source
of values for that society and
''Whereas the strength of the
family is essential for the
preservation of our national
unity

fiber of our nation is contingent
upon the integrity of the family
unit and

''Whereas the pressures of
our present age bring stresses
to bear on the traditional family
structure heretofore unknown
''Be it hereby resolved that
November 24-30, 1974, be set
aside as FAMILY WEEK in the
City of Johnsonville and
''Be it further resolved that
each family unit be encouraged
to join together in a spirit. of
unity and determination to
imure its future as the center of
spiritual and moral training
essential for the preserv~tion of
civilization.''
